Through the years many people have asked how they could become 'members' of the Friends of the Sacramento Crisis Nurseries. We've always considered everyone who contributed in any way - financially, donating goods or services, attending events, volunteering at the nurseries - to be a friend of the Nurseries. Indeed, this support has been critical to the security and sustainability of the Nurseries, as it will continue to be in the future.

Now, because of the expansion of new programs coupled with increased demand for documentation of community support in grant proposals, the time has arrived to initiate a formal, on-going Membership program. We're hoping and confident that our history of community backing by thousands of individuals, companies and organizations will prompt a positive response.

The Friends of the Sacramento Crisis Nurseries will continue to be led by a board of dedicated individuals as it has been for the past eleven years. During that time over $600,000 has been contributed directly to the Nursery program, with another $600,000+ placed into the Thomas P. Raley fund, taking it to over $1.6 million to date. Through our Speakers Bureau, outreach through health and family fairs, fundraising events and our newsletter we have raised awareness of the nursery program. This Membership effort will help us further our outreach.
