The Friends are currently sponsoring the Obelisk Tile Project, an eight-foot high sculpture decorated with hundreds of hand-painted 6"x 6" tiles that will be installed at the entry of the Sacramento Crisis Nursery North. The Obelisk will greet families and children with its colorful display of hand-crafted tiles.

Your tile purchase supports the Crisis Nursery. Donors have purchased tiles to celebrate the birth of a new baby, to recognize a birthday, or to simply demonstrate support for the nurseries and their work. Painting days are available at the Nursery when you, a friend or a family member can come to personalize your tile. Or you can ask that a child staying at the nursery or at the Sacramento Children's Home paint your tile.

You can purchase online today individual tiles for $100, $250 or $500 each.

Paint days at the Crisis Nursery North are scheduled periodically each month or can be by appointment. Perhaps a group you belong to would like to collectively make a donation to purchase tiles -- we can arrange a painting party for you and your children. What a wonderful way to involve your child and inspire caring for others!
